Arjun Patiala is overdose of spoof comedy which might make you leave the film half-way through.
The parody style is gone case, outdated and repeatative.
All the cast members looks good on screen but hardly gets a chance to present thier acting skills.
Music and Screenplay are totally dead.
Direction skills are never seen despite having high production value.
Overall, Arjun Patiala is a Bad Film or one can say almost a Crap to Skip for so many reasons. Watch it with paracetamol in yr pocket..!!

Arjun Patiala has no story line. Utter non sense film. Actress Kriti Sanon has chosen wrong film to act. Her charming personality has little to offer to this story nor did her attraction brings any value to the movie. The movie feels like some random shots stitched together. Screenplay is very bad. You can save yourselves from this disaster.

It is a movie with simple story line and plotted so ordinarily, so there is no need or in this movie there is nothing exciting, so don't waste your money. Although the acting by kriti Sanon, Diljit dosanjh is good and fine. If you are a huge fan of kriti or Diljit you may go to watch this.

'Arjun Patiala' has no high points. It uses the innocent looks of Diljit the lead male to trade in a lighter than a light love story. There are a whole lot of dull and lull moments, to say the least. It does entertain a bit. The sidekick is well played. The usual caucus of local goons in disguise at the top and stuff. The only redeeming thing is no-nonsense journalist lady in love who sees that good prevail over bad.

They tried for a comedy movie but it turned out to be a disaster. Everything from acting to directing was a tragic failure. The story line is so ordinary, dialogues are so banal. They make no sense. There is no logic in the movie. Actress Kriti Sanon with her little charming nature failed to attract. A talent in the form of Dilijit was wasted completely. Better save yourselves from this movie. That is all I have to say about this.

Rohit Jugraj’s “Arjun Patiala” is a film within a film. An enthusiastic director narrates the story to a jaded producer as the plot plays out on screen. It is fitting that the director and producer are fast asleep by the end of the film – “Arjun Patiala” does little to keep its viewers awake during its 106 minutes. “Arjun Patiala” is an attempt at subverting Bollywood’s formulaic films. It makes self-deprecating jokes, and presents a checklist of Bollywood tropes from item songs, including one with Sunny Leone, to fight sequences. But this parody forgets the one ingredient that makes a hit Bollywood film: the ability to keep the audience engaged. Director Rohit Jugraj and writers Ritesh Shah and Sandeep Leyzell instead have fashioned a half-baked story about a bright-eyed police officer who wants to rid his neighbourhood of crime.

Arjun isn’t a real person, nor is Sharma’s Onidda (named after the television model) or Kriti Sanon’s investigative journalist Ritu (the movie’s biggest joke). They are characters in a film within the film that is being narrated by an aspiring director to a producer. Why bother telling me about the script, asks the producer, played by Pankaj Tripathi. I have been making films for three generations and have never once heard a script. Finally, a good joke that isn’t in the trailer. After all has been done, and Dosanjh’s Arjun Patiala has cleansed his precinct of criminals by setting them up against each other and waltzed off into a paratha-shaped sunset with Sanon’s Ritu, the producer’s assistant asks, will it work? Not on the strength of the humour, of which there isn’t enough for even a 106-minute movie. In trying to send up Bollywood cliches, Arjun Patiala becomes yet another Bollywood cliche itself. Arjun Patiala has some good jokes – but half of them were in the trailer. What’s left? Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh is his usual pleasant self as he attempts yet again to broaden his base and convince Hindi audiences of his low-key charm. Dosanjh doesn’t set the screen on fire in his films but he never leaves it in tatters either. He is nicely cast as the titular hero, who dreams of joining the Punjab Police and manages to get in on a sports quota. There’s little else to recommend in Rohit Jugraj’s film, written by Ritesh Shah and Sandeep Leyzell. Varun Sharma’s comic timing is spot-on but overly familiar. Take him out of this movie and put him in another and you wouldn’t get anything different. Meanwhile, the other prominent cast members, Ronit Roy, Seema Pahwa, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, have little to do. The first half of the movie is entertaining but the second half is worse than ever Parental Advisory : not needed

Quite often or rather most of the time HIGH EXPECTATIONS yield LOW RESULTS & a classic example of this is one of the releases this week ARJUN PATIALA. A film in a film it tells the story of a cop ARJUN PATIALA who by his looks & built may not look that strong but is a Judo champion & a fan of a senior cop who is his inspiration too. He also has right intentions of wiping out the criminals in the town where he is posted. He also has an assistant whose name is ONIDA after a popular brand for one of the most absurd reason shown, likewise the movie supposedly to be a comedy fall's flat with it's not so well written comic scenes, on & off we have popular old songs or spoofs on some hit scenes from yesteryear films but all end up to be boring & tedious not connecting to it's audience. Talented & reliable actors like RONIT ROY & PANKAJ TRIPATHI have been wasted , also SEEMA PAHWA as the main antagonist is a total miscast alongside with MOHAMMED ZEESHAN another talented actor who too has an ill conceived role & more than that a bad get up. KRITI SANON the leading lady is somewhat watchable , VARUN SHARMA in the role of ONIDA turns out to be the biggest disappointment considering the fan following he has had with his FUKREY FRANCHISE & finally DILJIT DOSANJH the hero of this film gets a zero in this film, riding high on the success of his recent punjabi film SHADDA & a superb performance in that this one is & could be one of his worst acts. All in all a badly directed film by ROHIT JUGRAJ a successful director of Punjabi films - STRICTLY AVOIDABLE

The hero is a cop. Inspired by his guru, he aims for a 'crime free' society. But he doesnt eliminate the criminals himself. He creates a situation wherein it appears as if a gang war is going on n the gangsters kill each other. The heroine is a television reporter, but im not too sure if she knows her job. #ArjunPatiala is supposed to be a humorous film, but only some scenes n dialogues r funny. The short running time is a bonus. Good performances by dosanjh, sharma, ayyub. Music is bad

Arjun Patiala is a desi sort of movie. As you may have figured out from the teasers and promos, the movie is absolutely a spoof! It ridicules Indian melodrama and cliche movies. In my opinion, the team was successful in creating a different plot and executed it very well. If you are expecting the real stuff, Arjun Patiala is not for you. Otherwise it will surely provide a decent watch. Didn't get much satisfaction personally after watching it :(

No matter what everybody else says its an out and out comedy movie. I liked it very much. You can say that this is a Bollywood movie made in style of Punjabi movies. Diljit singh dosand looked in his own style as he use to do in his starting movies like Sardarjii or Jatt and Juliet. He is playing a police inspector with ambition to clear crime and he goes about it in hilarious way. But it gets repetitive at sometimes and story is pridictable. But he acted brilliantly in that style and I was missing his this kind of movie. That's why it kept my interest till the end as it was never about story but comedy in this movie. Coming back to Actresses, Kirti was like usual masala romantic interest for the hero. She has done many movies in this style like Bariley ki barfi and latest lukka Chuppi. I liked her potrey of local Punjabi reporter. Then there is Varun who is you can Robin of this movie. He is assistant inspector. He has implacable comic timing and provides that till the end. So in conclusion watch it but don't expect a brilliant story just normal story with some great acting and comedy.

The creators of the Bollywood film Arjun Patiala have obviously thrown caution to the wind and indulged in a care a damn attitude. They have given absolute hoots to the critics a fact that is blatantly spelt out by the end of the film. This screwball comedy, designed as a buddy cop film is a huge let down. You would enjoy humour if it was intelligently mounted. Unfortunately with a perfunctorily designed plot flippant graphics and absurd gags the end result is yawn. Only go if you have so called free time plus money to waste.

Light hearted movie.Actors have done a great job as per the script. It lacks a proper storyline but who cares if you want to have extra bucks or just want to have a fun time. I was not bored at all.It is not easy to create a fun filled comedy these days moreover family friendly. The movie crashes a bit towards the end but it's ok. Don't look for logic & Enjoy yourselves. And if you want to watch movie according to critics review they will give 0.5 or 1 star.We know how that's works. Go the movie if you have time and extra money else wait to see on television I guess

Arjun Patiala is the most ultra senseless and illogical film in the recent times - 0.5 Star Save yourself from this drama that gives Trauma. Here comes a film that can compete with films like Humshakal,Himmatwaala to top the list of worst films ever made in the history of Indian Cinema. This film needed no director because there is no story,no script or anything worth it. Seems like the film has been randomly shot for fun without even a bit of thought process or logic behind. High time disaster - a film that you would never want to watch. A total ultra flop from talented actor like Diljith & Kriti Sanon. Never recommended on any medium of watch.

Arjun Patiala is the worst movie ever that I have seen in my life. I was thinking sitting there how rising actress like Kriti Sanon might have signed such an illogical, senseless and money wasting movie. They have simply degraded the level of Bollywood industry with this release. It is a movie like any child has written the story, any child has directed and produced it and most surprising thing is how Diljit and Kriti signed such a disgusting movie. Seriously, don't go and please don't waste your precious time and money as well as your energy.. Now i am like why the hell i went there - It made me sick !!

Anish posted a review for Arjun Patiala in Movies
'With you always,' reads the slogan on the police van of the fictional town of Ferozepur in Punjab. The man in charge is Arjun Patiala - a handsome young gabru jawan, who has his priorities set (read women, whiskey and work). Giving him company is his trustworthy but goofier constable Onidda Singh, who has given up on women after multiple heartbreaks. He has now settled for a buffalo as his lady love. If you thought that's bizarre, then wait for more. There is a glamorous yet feisty television reporter Ritu Randhawa (Kriti Sanon), who casually reports on the dreadful trigger-happy goons who infest Ferozepur. An unscrupulous MLA Prapti Makkad (Seema Pahwa), who is often referred to as 'Property Makkar' for her nefarious deals in the real estate. And there is also a gullible goon called Sakool (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) and a host of other quirky characters including IPS Gill (Ronit Roy), who is frankly the only sorted one (for the most part). All of them are part of a fictional story of a formula film narrated by a writer, who often breaks the fourth wall and talks to the audience. This altogether takes away the scope of taking the film seriously. The film's first half breezes through with a few fun moments including a cameo by Sunny Leone. It fails to register her acting skills (or the lack of it), but leads to a forgettable item number that is admittedly mandatory in such a narrative. Diljit Dosanjh delivers a decent performance with a few laugh-out-loud moments. His innocence brings out the vulnerability of his character that is instantly likeable. His leading lady Kriti Sanon (introduced as Heroine No.1) looks flawless, but the same cannot be said about her character. The writing gives her little to work with other than mouthing dialogues without much conviction. But the one who manages to deliver most laughs is Varun Sharma. From his amusing backstory to his forced singlehood, Varun is simply the guy, who can make you laugh at his expense. He also gets some of the best lines that fall quite short in pulling off an out and out comedy. The movie's writing, direction and execution become increasingly childish and pointless in the second half, as it stumbles towards a hotch-potch of a climax. Thankfully, the makers do not resort to cheap, offensive or vulgar humour in a desperate attempt to make you laugh. Film's music is average except for the peppy dance number 'Preeto'. Spoof comedies can be a tricky affair and this one is way too underwhelming to tickle your funny bone for full two hours.
